Hosted by the owners of Carlette Farm (formerly Locust Hill Farm) on 306 breathtaking acres, the Locust Hill Spring Schooling Pace offers an exceptional variety of inviting and challenging jumps, over 6-8 miles of beautiful countryside, making the Locust Hill course the most unusual in Dutchess County.
Featuring:
The course will be approximately 6-8 miles through open rolling farmland and beautiful wooded trails
There will be approximately 40 fences, none exceeding 3’3”, and all with Go-Arounds for those not wishing to jump
Many small beginner fences along with more challenging jumps, or enjoy a lovely ride over beautiful countryside for the flat rider
All entries must be accompanied by the entry fee

The pace requires a mandatory stop at a designated rest point
All entries must be accompanied by the entry fee
Teams may consist of 2, 3, or 4 riders
Hardhats with attached harness, signed release forms and negative Coggins within 12 months are required with entry

Early entry highly recommended for desired start time
No day-of-pace entries
First team off at 8:30am. Generally, our schooling paces are less well attended so teams may leave any time between 8:30am and 11:00am.
*Each rider must pay as an individual participant and enter as part of a team. Barns with multiple teams should name their teams “Barn Name 1”, “Barn Name 2”, “Barn Name 3”, etc. so the teams can be identified and scheduled consecutively.

*Submit the single form, completed by all riding team members.
* It is critical that the entry be filled out with all information including email, home address and phone numbers for each rider.
Step 3: Print your Coggins documentation for each horse on the team and include with your mailed in entry form (Or upload at link above).
Step 4: Write checks for your team’s total entry fees made out to “Carlette Farm” – This can be individual checks from each person or one check for all riders.

*All entries must be received by October 29th to ensure your lunch choice is included in our order. We are not responsible for entries that haven’t been received in time.
Cancellation Policy:
If Carlette Farm needs to cancel for any reason your entry will be completely refunded (minus Eventbrite fee if applicable).
Individual refunds will be granted for an injured or ill horse with a vet’s note, rider with a doctor’s note or with a dated receipt. Full refunds given with doctor’s or veterinarian’s notes up to June 5th, 2026. (Minus Eventbrite fees.)
No individual refunds will be granted due to weather unless we at Carlette Farm choose to cancel.
